“Protect The Ocean And You Protect Yourself" — Jean-Michel Cousteau
The Ocean protects us all, sustaining all life on our planet. It is the vital living force regulating a healthy Global Climate. The Ocean is home to wondrous wild creatures, from tiny plankton to the largest animal the blue whale. Biodiversity is synonymous with stability and everything is connected. The Ocean supplies the oxygen we breathe, provides livelihoods for billions of people, and covers 71% of our planet. It also is where an estimated 83% of the global carbon cycle is circulated through marine waters.
A healthy Ocean is a healthy planet our greatest protector against Climate Change.

As the already record-breaking natural disasters of this year remind us, nature is enormously powerful and unpredictable when we continue to rapidly disrupt natural cycles and processes. We have enough information to act on climate change and a variety of solutions to begin addressing the challenges ahead. Now is the time—the opportunity—to make a difference that can last for generations. But we cannot do it alone.
I want to thank you for your unwavering support of Ocean Futures Society for without you our collective achievements would not be possible. Your dedication to ocean conservation is now more significant than ever.
